The 3 a.m. edit

At 3 a.m., good design is whatever you can find without turning on the big light. A bottle, water, a clean cloth, and somewhere safe to set down the used one.

Keep the station spare. Restock in daylight. Put every essential within the reach of one free hand. The goal is not a perfect nursery—it is a quieter next ten minutes.
